Teocalli Cocina Mural

Teocalli Cocina, located in old town Lafayette, CO opened in June 2019. This was such a fun mural to work on, as I was actually painting during the construction process for this new restaurant. Award-winning authentic Mexican, a stunning, modern interior decor, and the best menu of margaritas and craft cocktails, you really need to stop in.
Don’t forget to ask for a table outside - it’s the patio with a view.
About
With a large, very long, exterior fence bordering the outdoor patio, the intention of this project is to energize the outdoor dining space. Together with the owner Grant Hopfenspirger, and designer Sara Blette, the idea proposed was to hand paint a series of agave plants along the length of the fence, incorporating their signature turquoise blue color, while keeping the wood of the fence exposed, complimenting the interior wood accents. I’ve included a collection of work in progress photos, along with a few additional photos borrowed from Teocalli and Sara Blette.
